The United States is setting the stage for a transformative travel experience in 2025 and 2026. With major infrastructure upgrades, luxury hotel openings, high-profile international events and milestone anniversaries, the US is redefining itself as a dynamic destination for tourism, business and cultural engagement.
This June, Los Angeles unveils the LAX/Metro Transit Center, offering greater connectivity between airport terminals and the city’s growing metro network. In the Southern corridor, Amtrak’s Mardi Gras Service will launch a scenic daily route between New Orleans and Mobile, expanding access to Gulf Coast cities.
The US cruise and rail sectors are also scaling up. American Cruise Lines introduces 50+ day itineraries in 2026 to mark America’s 250th anniversary — catering to luxury travelers with time and taste. Holland America’s Alaska-to-Hawaii voyage debuts in August 2025, merging glacier exploration with tropical escape.
In the culinary sector, the Michelin Guide now includes more of the American South, and new flagship public markets in Madison and Portland are redefining regional food commerce. New Orleans’ Cure was named the best bar in the US by Food & Wine.
Meanwhile, the US will host major events: the FIFA Club World Cup (2025), Super Bowl LX (2026), MLB All-Star Week, and Ryder Cup 2025 — strengthening tourism and event-driven development across key cities.
In hospitality, the Waldorf Astoria New York has reopened, while One & Only Moonlight Basin in Montana and Populus Seattle are setting new benchmarks in sustainable, high-end lodging. Cultural investments include the reopening of The Frick Collection and launch of Dataland, the world’s first AI-focused art museum.
Looking ahead, America 250 in 2026 will be a nationwide celebration of US history, culminating in special events across all 50 states.
With renewed momentum across sectors, the US is poised for a sophisticated and purposeful tourism revival — inviting travelers and investors to explore new opportunities across the American landscape.
