The National Housing Authority (NHA) and the Office of the Ombudsman formalized the transfer of a 5,772-square-meter property in Quezon City with a ceremonial signing of the Deed of Absolute Sale and the issuance of the Transfer Certificate of Title.
In its statement, the NHA said that the land — located in North Triangle, Diliman, Quezon City -— was transferred from the agency to the Office of the Ombudsman.
The property is currently occupied by an annex of the Ombudsman’s main building, serving as an extension for its frontline services.
NHA general manager Joeben A. Tai expressed his gratitude and honor in being part of the Ombudsman’s expansion in Quezon City.
“It is our sincere hope that this advancement will significantly contribute to the improved working condition, overall well-being, and welfare of dedicated civil servants of your institution,” Tai said.
Meantime, Ombudsman Atty. Samuel Martires hailed the property transfer as a significant milestone that would contribute to the agency’s long-term commitment to upholding transparency and accountability for the benefit of all Filipinos.
Joining Martires at the event were Deputy Ombudsman Jose M. Balmeo Jr., Assistant Ombudsmen Caesar D. Asuncion, Asryman T. Rafanan, and Janet Leah M. Ramos, along with Finance and Management Information Office Officer-in-Charge Adorie T. Cornito and Central Administrative Service Director Violeta L. Agustin.
