Members of autism communities from across the country numbering 40,000 came together for their biggest annual gathering for acceptance, inclusion and support at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on 18 May.
The Sy family of SM Group, led by Hans T. Sy, chairman of the SM Prime Holdings, joined the Angels Walk for Autism 2025 participants at the MOA Arena as shown on a video posted on the SM Cares Facebook page on Sunday.
The event was the culmination of Angels Walk for Autism 2025 versions hosted by SM malls across the Philippines as part of the nationwide demonstration of solidarity with individuals on the autism spectrum. Prior to the Angels Walk for Autism 2025 at the MOA Arena, families, advocates, educators and allies of autism filled the activity halls of SM City Lipa, SM City Lucena, SM City Iloilo, SM City Tuguegarao, SM City Davao, SM City Butuan, SM City Baguio, SM City Bacolod and SM Seaside Cebu, joined by a meaningful extension in Malaybalay, where local champions organized their own inclusive celebration.
Organized by the Autism Society Philippines and proudly supported by SM Cares, the social service arm of the SM Supermalls, ASP Angels Walk for Autism continues to grow into a nationwide call for acceptance, accommodation and appreciation. Each walk, each voice, each participant is a reminder that acceptance begins with community.
