The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) on Thursday identified a woman whose body was found at a garbage dumpsite in Barangay Payatas earlier this week.
The victim was identified as “Verry,” a longtime resident of Orchid Street in Barangay Payatas.
According to a witness, “Verry” lived alone, had no known relatives in the area, and reportedly suffered from mental health issues. She was known in the neighborhood for often wearing multiple layers of clothing and a distinctive silver ring, which was also found on her body.
CCTV footage from a nearby residence showed her leaving her home around 12:15 a.m. on Tuesday, wearing the same clothes, and walking toward San Miguel Street. She was not seen returning home.
The victim’s body was discovered inside a black garbage bag at approximately 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday at the intersection of Saint Beatriz and San Lorenzo Streets in Barangay Payatas.
