Philippine and Cambodian officials recently concluded a two-day high-level discussion focused on exchanging best practices and enhancing regional collaboration to combat human trafficking and emerging crimes, including trafficking for forced criminality in scam centers.
The Regional Dialogue and Knowledge Exchange Between Cambodia and the Philippines, held in Manila, was organized by the Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking, chaired by the Department of Justice, in cooperation with various Philippine agencies and the Cambodian National Committee for Counter Trafficking.
This initiative aligns with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive to strengthen cross-border measures aimed at protecting vulnerable individuals, dismantling criminal syndicates, and securing the nation’s borders against transnational organized crime and human trafficking.
