Security Bank Corporation recently brought together its valued clients for an afternoon of sport and camaraderie at the first Security Bank Polo Cup, held on 23 March 2025 at the Manila Polo Club in Makati City. The exclusive event was organized to express appreciation for the continued support of Treasury and Wealth clients while also marking key milestones as the Bank approaches its 74th anniversary in June.
“At Security Bank, we’re always looking for ways to build connections with our clients — whether it’s in the way we serve them or the experiences we create for them. This event reflects that,” said Sanjiv Vohra, President and CEO of Security Bank.
Guests were treated to two thrilling 4-Chukker polo matches. The low-goal game featured the blue team composed of Xavi Tengco, cousins Jay de Jesus and Jim Dulay, and Representative Sandro Marcos, who bested the green team made up of Jun Juban, Representative and Deputy House Speaker Tonypet Albano, Migs Feliz, and Santi Elizalde.
In the high-goal match, the blue team led by Inigo Zobel, Anthony Filamor, Marty Romualdez, and Ignacio O’Dwyer went head-to-head with the white team of Pedro Roxas, Alfie Araneta, Tommy Bitong, and Adrian Garcia. The white team emerged victorious after an intense contest.
The awarding ceremony was led by Vohra along with Manila Polo Club President Alex Revilla. Dignitaries in attendance included US Ambassador MaryKay Carlson, Indian Ambassador Shri Harsh Kumar Jain, and House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
The event was more than just a celebration of sport. It highlighted Security Bank's commitment to building long-term client relationships. The Bank has received several industry accolades in recent years, including being named the Best Bank for High-Net-Worth Clients for five straight years (2021 to 2025), Best Bank for Corporates by Euromoney, and Best SME Bank by The Digital Banker.
“2024 has been a banner year for Security Bank and we’re only getting better. These achievements and your support drive us to uphold our BetterBanking promise, putting our customers at the heart of everything we do,” Vohra added.
