Ride-hailing app Unified Transports Operation League (UTOL) announced a partnership with Victoria Sports Hotel on Wednesday, aiming to provide smoother transportation services for hotel customers.
At a briefing held at the Victoria Sports Tower, UTOL chairman Rolando Maningas said the collaboration would create a “win-win condition,” ensuring seamless transactions for hotel guests needing transportation to and from the area.
“The customers of Victoria Hotel will have a seamless transaction between the hotel, the services it offers, and the transportation going in-and out of the area,” Maningas said as he stressed that Filipino customers would ultimately benefit from the partnership’s focus on efficient service.
Mario Isic, the group general manager of Victoria Sports Hotel, explained that UTOL was chosen over other ride-hailing apps due to its adherence to regulations.
“We partnered specifically with UTOL because it strictly complies with government requirements, accredited by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), and prioritizes the safety of drivers and passengers,” Isic said.
He added that they are considering a deeper partnership with UTOL as their initial agreement is fulfilled.
Maningas stated that UTOL, as it expands its services in Metro Manila and other cities, strictly adheres to the law, including the proper implementation of discounts for students, persons with disabilities, and senior citizens, with UTOL itself shouldering the discount costs.
