Members of the Indian community in the Philippines gathered for a prayer meeting following a deadly terror attack in Pahalgam, India, that killed 26 tourists.
The event, organized by the Indian Diaspora of the Philippines (IDP), served as a show of solidarity and a firm stand against terrorism and violence.
“All Indians living in the Philippines stand united against terrorist attacks,” one of the organizers said. “Wherever we are, we share the pain and grief of the bereaved families.”
The ceremony included a moment of silence, followed by a tribute in which attendees offered flowers and wrote messages to honor the victims of the Pahalgam attack.
One participant, who asked not to be named, described the gathering as a “non-violent, silent message” of peace, adding that India, as the land of Mahatma Gandhi, should reject all forms of violence.
