Operatives from the Manila Police District (MPD) arrested a Taiwanese national and his Filipino accomplice in connection with the kidnapping of a 41-year-old Chinese woman last 22 April.
Police identified the suspects as Rex Chong Sheng Wu, 27, a Taiwanese national and translator residing in Parañaque City and Reynaldo Salvares Abian, a motorcycle rider from Parañaque City.
The victim was identified as Shero Zhou, 41, a Chinese national residing in Malate, Manila.
According to a police report, after receiving a complaint from the victim’s relative, P/Lt. Col. John Guiagui, officer in charge of the Manila Police District Intelligence Division, along with Pasay City and Parañaque City police, located the hideout of Wu and Abian at a subdivision in Las Piñas City at 11:45 a.m. on 22 April.
