ONIC eliminates AP Bren

Defending MPL champion ONIC PH has officially eliminated AP Bren from playoff contention on Week 7 Day 3 of MPL Philippines Season 15, held Sunday evening at the Green Sun Hotel in Makati.

The dominant ONIC PH lineup — K1ngkong, Kelra, Super Frince, Kirk, and Brusko — went straight for the jugular, securing a clean 2-0 sweep against a struggling AP Bren squad.

“Nice game, AP Bren. I just want to tell Jamespangks that I learned a lot from him when we used to stay together in a bootcamp,” K1ngkong said after the match.

AP Bren, once a world and MPL PH champion, lost its title-winning roster of Pheww, Super Marco, KyleTzy, Flap, and Owgwen to Team Falcons PH earlier this season. With the departure of its seasoned core, AP Bren turned to rookies from the Mobile Legends Developmental League. However, the rebuild has been rocky — culminating in a 1-10 regular season record and an early exit from the playoff race.
