In the invisible space between silence and experience, there exists a force that builds dreams, evokes memories and shapes worlds — sound. It is unseen, yet deeply felt; ephemeral, yet everlasting. At Wonder Collab Studios in the heart of Makati, sound is imagined, sculpted and brought to life.
At the helm of this creative universe are two minds who dared to listen deeper: Jonathan Moll, founder and CEO of Wonder Collab Studios and Kahlil Refuerzo, director for music production. Together, they have transformed fleeting vibrations into immersive experiences, threading the intangible into the fabric of storytelling.
“We wanted something that incites curiosity,” Moll said, recalling how the name “Wonder Collab Studios” was born out of an idea to blend creativity with collaboration. “Wonder” — because they believe in the beauty of creating sound that amazes; and “Collab” — because at the heart of everything they do is partnership, trust and shared artistry.
Starting out in a cramped 36-square meter condo, with only hope and relentless determination as their capital, Moll and Refuerzo built their dreams project by project, often working out of coffee shops and borrowed spaces. They grew not by force, but by faith in their craft and in the invisible power of sound to transform.
At Wonder Collab Studios, sound is the pulse of every story. Their work stretches across advertising, film, TV, music and everything else in between — audio mixing, mastering, sound design, live recording, jingles, original compositions and location sound. But to them, it’s never just about filling silence. It’s about breathing life into the unseen.
“Music for advertising is never just music for music’s sake,” Refuerzo explained. “It’s music for a purpose.”
Their creative process begins before a note is played or a mic is switched on. Whether it’s a 30-second commercial jingle or a sweeping film score, they first listen — to the brand, to the story, to the emotion that needs to be summoned. From pre-production, recording during shoots, to post-production final mixes, Wonder Collab is deeply embedded, ensuring that every sound, every whisper, every beat aligns perfectly with the vision.
This rare dedication sets them apart. In an industry where most audio houses are called in after the shoot is done, Wonder Collab Studios is there from the beginning — capturing live sound, ensuring dialogue is crisp, recording every nuance. It’s a collaboration so seamless that directors and producers can simply focus on telling the story, knowing that sound is being cared for from the first clap to the final cut.
Driven by their hunger to always push boundaries, Wonder Collab Studios recently built “Studio 8,” a Dolby Atmos-certified studio — one of only four in the Philippines. It is a space where sound is no longer just around you — it is above you, beneath you, within you.
“We wanted to upscale our expertise. The world is moving towards immersive sound,” Moll said. “It’s not just for film anymore. Even music is mixed in Dolby Atmos now — it’s the new playground for storytellers.”
In this new frontier, sound is no longer two-dimensional. It wraps around the listener, creating entire universes of feeling. It is here that Wonder Collab continues to explore, to imagine, to wonder.
Sound is invisible. It cannot be touched or seen, yet it holds the power to touch us in ways words alone cannot. It is the rising thrill before a climactic moment; the soft ache of a fading memory; the thunderous call to action.
In every project, Wonder Collab Studios captures this beauty — sculpting emotions out of thin air, making the invisible palpable, making the intangible unforgettable. They do not just make sounds. They shape how we feel, how we remember, how we connect.
In a world obsessed with what can be seen, Wonder Collab Studios reminds us of the profound beauty of what can only be heard — and in so doing, they bring the unseen to life.
