Marikina artist sculpts tribute to Pope Francis
Clay artist Rolando Magboo presents his commissioned sculpture of the late Pope Francis at his studio in Riverside, Marikina City on Thursday, 24 April 2025. The piece was requested by a client as a personal tribute to the beloved pontiff. Known for his realistic clay and fiberglass sculptures, Magboo has built a wide-ranging portfolio over the past 30 years, crafting everything from portrait busts to life-sized figures. His commissioned works start at P35,000 for half-sized pieces and P55,000 for full-sized sculptures.
