Former beauty queen and Miss Earth 2004 titleholder Priscilla Meirelles is turning the page on a significant chapter of her life — her marriage to actor John Estrada.
In an intimate conversation with veteran journalist Karen Davila on her latest vlog, Priscilla spoke candidly about where she now stands in her relationship with her estranged husband.
Though she commended John for being a great father and consistent provider for their daughter Anechka, she made it clear that she’s finally stepping away from their union for good.
“He always says that he loves me so much, and I believe he does in his own way,” Priscilla shared. “The issue is that he doesn’t love me the way I deserve to be loved. That’s the issue.”
Their relationship, once filled with promise and public admiration, now sits in the past as Priscilla chooses healing and clarity over unresolved pain. “I do believe that he tries his best. The problem is his best is not what I need.”
Despite the emotional distance, she maintains a deep sense of respect for John’s role in their daughter’s life. “Whatever happens between the two of us… I always have high appreciation for him being the father of Anechka,” she said.
“I pray and hope that he continues to be a good father, that his actions do not reflect whatever is happening in our relationship.”
Their love story began with a fairy-tale wedding at the picturesque Thunderbird Poro Point Resort in La Union on 26 February 2011. A year later, they welcomed their daughter Anechka, who remains the binding light between them.
While John shared in a 2024 social media post that the couple had “mutually agreed to take a break,” Priscilla responded with a different emotional tone, admitting she was “shocked and disheartened” by his statement.
Now, she stands firm in her decision to walk away.
“I know that he has high hopes that maybe one day the way I feel changes. I don’t think so,” she said with finality.
“I’m the type of person that once I step out of the room, I’m gone. So I’ll fight until the last minute, until my last breath. But once I decide no more, it’s no more.”
For Priscilla Meirelles, this isn’t just the end of a chapter — it’s the closing of the book. And with it, she walks forward with grace, gratitude, and the quiet strength of a woman who knows her worth.
