
Operatives from the Makati City Police arrested a high-value individual and three alleged accomplices Thursday night, confiscating approximately 55 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P374,000.
According to a police report released Friday, operatives from the Makati Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU), along with personnel from Sub-station 1, conducted a buy-bust operation around 6:25 p.m. on Ponte Street, Barangay Tejeros, Makati City. The operation was under the direct supervision of Police Col. Jean I. Dela Torre.
Police said the operation marks a significant breakthrough in efforts to dismantle drug distribution networks within the National Capital Region, highlighting the effectiveness of intelligence-driven operations in targeting major players in the illegal drug trade.
The team apprehended the suspects identified as alias “Lyn,” alias “Toto,” alias “Andres,” and alias “Prince” and investigations disclosed that SDEU operatives purchased one plastic package containing suspected shabu worth P80,000 from the main suspect.
Following the controlled purchase, authorities seized an additional 10 heat-sealed plastic sachets of suspected shabu, P1,000 in buy-bust money, P79,000 in boodle money and a black coin purse from alias “Lyn.”
Officers also confiscated additional suspected shabu and a cellular phone from the other three suspects.
All four suspects are currently in police custody and will face charges for violating Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Police Brig. Gen. Joseph R. Arguelles, acting director of the Southern Police District, commended the operatives’ efforts, stressing the SPD’s dedication to combating illegal drugs and safeguarding public safety.
