Land Transportation Office (LTO) chief, Assistant Secretary Vigor D. Mendoza II, on Friday expressed the agency’s gratitude to President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. after he signed seven measures to improve the agency’s services to the people.
In a letter to Mendoza, the Office of the President informed him of the measures the President signed to expand and improve the operations of seven LTO offices across the country.
These are the establishment of an LTO District Office in Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte; a district office in the towns of Cordova and Consolacion in Cebu; and a district office in Pandan, Antique.
The President also signed into law the conversion of the Las Piñas City Licensing Center into a regular LTO Licensing Center; the conversion of the Rosales, Pangasinan District Office into a Class A LTO office; and the conversion of the LTO Extension Office in Burgos, Ilocos Norte into a district office.
Mendoza said the measures came following the appropriation of funds for the improvement of the facilities and operational and administrative expenses.
“On behalf of the men and women of the LTO, I extend our sincerest gratitude for the magnanimity of President Bongbong Marcos for further improving our services to the Filipino people. This is a big boost to the goal of bringing government services closer to the people under Bagong Pilipinas,” Mendoza said.
He said the construction and expansion of LTO offices has always been a priority to save the people time and money going to other places to renew their driver’s licenses, motor vehicle registrations, and other LTO transactions.
