Nintendo delays Switch 2 preorders over tariff concerns

NEW YORK, NEW YORK - APRIL 02: Nintendo Switch remotes are seen at a Target store on 02 April 2025 in the Flatbush neighborhood of the Brooklyn borough in New York City. Target stores continue to see a decline in sales for the eighth consecutive week, extending a streak that began after the company announced it would end its diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) program in late January. The company, also like Costco and Walmart, is putting pressure on its Chinese suppliers to absorb some of the costs of U.S tariffs. U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to make an announcement for another round of new tariffs on most imports to the United States, which the president has dubbed “Liberation Day.”
