No thicker blood
“Well, P/Maj. Gen. Nicolas Torre III showed how one idiot police general disregarded constitutional rights. Yeah, this abusive idiot prompted my absence from our Thursday RC Manila meeting because he was an unwanted guest speaker.

The latest development between PBBM and his elder sister, Senator Imee R. Marcos, would seem to manifest that there’s no thicker blood that we know.
We are witness to many such cases happening too between the Marcos siblings. The point of conflict generally originates from inheritance, business control and recently greed for political power and authority. Conflicts result in injuries and death.
Among influential families, greed for political power appears to be a major cause of conflict we see between brothers and sisters, mom and dad being involved in the war for control of the populace in their respective localities.
The banishment of former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte to a foreign master, to The Hague, exacerbated to an unpredicted level the rift between the President and Senator Imee.
However, I will not cite any big or small names because it may not help reduce or lessen the heat and, of course, the trauma of the family members who are beset by issues and concerns.
Like what is obvious with the Marcos siblings, conflict and misunderstanding lead to family breakups which may or may not be patched up or resolved for good and, as the saying goes, so everyone in the family will live happily ever after.
We hope to see the rift between PBBM and Senator Imee resolved soon. However, the way we see it, since the subject of the falling out is political or the shabby treatment and denial of due process to FPRRD, courtesy of the administration per the statements of the presidential sister, the good thing may not be possible and could even further deteriorate and we will continue to dwell on the developing story.
The highly principled senator left the Alyansa of the younger brother, so did the latter delist the elder sister from its bets list.
Why is this so, what are the contributing negatives? The initial report of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations which Sen. Marcos chairs said FPRRD’s constitutional rights were trampled upon by the government during his “illegal” arrest on 11 March. The constitutional safeguards guaranteeing liberty and due process were not observed. Certainly, no warrant was issued by a Philippine court, as required by our laws.
Some bigoted lawyers would disagree because they are more for protecting the drug pushers, addicts and syndicates.
The Constitution provides: “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects against unreasonable searches and seizures of whatever nature and for any purpose shall be inviolable, and no search warrant or warrant of arrest shall issue except upon probable cause to be determined personally by the judge after examination under oath or affirmation of the complainant and the witnesses he may produce, and particularly describing the place to be searched and the persons or things to be seized.”
“The hearing found, despite the denials by the authorities, that preparations for the arrest began before 11 March,” or in late 2024, per ES Lucas Bersamin’s statement where he mentioned honoring Interpol requests.
Duterte’s arrest appeared to have been planned by NSA Eduardo Año, Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro, Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla, and the latter’s brother, Interior and Local Government Secretary Jonvic Remulla, the hearing found.
Well, P/Maj. Gen. Nicolas Torre III showed how one idiot police general disregarded constitutional rights. Yeah, this abusive idiot prompted my absence from our Thursday RC Manila meeting because he was an unwanted guest speaker.
Well, being a Filipino family, it’s sad that Brother Bongbong and Sis Imee’s relationship doesn’t show that blood is thicker. Politically, either one must be right; at a later period, history will decide.
