ONIC shrugs off Bennyqt's savage, sweeps TNC

Defending MPL champion ONIC PH overcame a stiff test from TNC Pro Team to score its fourth straight victory on Week 5 Day 1 of MPL Season 15, this Friday evening at Green Sun Hotel in Makati.

After winning the opening game, TNC came back hard in the second stanza, with M4 World Championship MVP Bennyqt taking charge.

An early lead paved the way for TNC to almost score a game, highlighted by a Savage from Bennyqt's Granger by the 10th minute mark.

But ONIC remained composed, dragging the match to the trenches. With Brusko's Jawhead targeting TNC's initiator Yawi and Bennyqt, the defending champ turned the tide with a successful Lord to push to win the series.

"I told them to trust [me], I will get the Granger," Brusko said after the match.

The win was ONIC's fourth straight win after a rocky start in the first half of the regular season. The team improved its standing to 5-3 while TNC dropped to 3-5.

Earlier in the day, Aurora scored yet another victory over Twisted Minds to extend its perfect streak to 8-0. Twisted Minds, meanwhile, fell to 1-7.
