MPower, the retail electricity supplier of Manila Electric Company (Meralco), has renewed its power supply deal with the Araneta Group, ensuring continued service for key properties in Araneta City, Quezon City.
The contract renewal covers buildings owned by ACI Inc., the corporate unit managing Araneta City’s retail, entertainment, residential and office spaces. MPower also signed a new electricity supply agreement with Araneta Hotels, extending coverage to ibis Styles Manila, the newest hotel in the district.
The partnership marks 11 years of collaboration between the two companies. ACI has been an MPower partner since the latter began operations in 2013, while Araneta Hotels signed with MPower in 2018. The deal falls under the Competitive Retail Electricity Market (CREM), which allows businesses with a demand of at least 500 kW to select their power provider.
“The Araneta Group is committed to excellent customer service and operational efficiency. Our longtime partnership with MPower secures a reliable energy supply across our multiple properties, allowing us to deliver the highest level of service to our guests,” said Novotel & ibis Styles Manila Cluster general manager Maria Manlulu-Garcia.
“The enduring partnership and trust given to us in powering Araneta City inspire MPower to continuously explore new avenues for growth and innovation, ensuring we deliver even greater value to our partners,” said Meralco first vice president and MPower head Redel Domingo.
With the renewed agreement, MPower and the Araneta Group continue their partnership focused on efficiency, sustainability and business growth.
