The highly anticipated out-of-town showdown between Creamline and Choco Mucho will have to wait as the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) announced a venue change for the final day of the 2024-25 All-Filipino Conference semifinals.
The Cool Smashers and Flying Titans have built one of the most electrifying rivalries in the PVL.
Despite being sister teams, their intense showdowns have drawn passionate fans and shaped the league’s competitive landscape. Their matches have consistently drawn large crowds, underscoring the growing popularity of volleyball in the country.
Since Choco Mucho’s debut in 2019, Creamline has dominated their head-to-head matchups, securing crucial victories, including in the 2022 PVL Open Conference semifinals and the 2024 All-Filipino Conference finals. This history has fueled the Flying Titans’ drive to finally turn the tables, making each encounter a must-watch spectacle.
Originally set to take place at the Ynares Center in Antipolo on 3 April, the decisive double-header featuring Petro Gazz versus Akari and the blockbuster Creamline versus Choco Mucho clash has been moved to the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The change delays what would have been the first Creamline-Choco Mucho provincial matchup since the league turned professional in 2021, slightly disappointing fans eager to see their teams play outside Metro Manila.
Despite the adjustment, the semifinals remain packed with action. The round-robin stage kicks off on 29 March in Antipolo, where the Cool Smashers and the Angels renew their storied rivalry, preceded by the Chargers and Flying Titans battling for an early edge in the standings.
