Senatorial candidate and Makati Mayor Abby Binay visited Lipa City and Tanauan City in Batangas on Thursday, meeting with local officials, employees, and residents.
Binay first paid a courtesy call to Mayor Eric Africa at Lipa City Hall, where she was warmly welcomed by employees and given a tour of the premises.
She then visited Tanauan City Hall, where she was greeted by Mayor Nelson “Sonny” Collantes and Congresswoman Ma. Theresa “Maitet” Collantes. During her visit, Binay also took the opportunity to engage with residents, as Thursday was "People’s Day" at the city hall.
Binay assured residents, particularly senior citizens, that she would advocate for the nationwide adoption of Makati's initiatives, including the provision of free maintenance medicines for seniors to alleviate their financial burdens.
On Wednesday, Binay visited various localities in Quezon Province, including Tayabas City, Lucena City, Tiaong, and Candelaria. She was welcomed by local officials, including Quezon 1st District Congressman Mark Enverga, Tayabas Mayor Maria Lourdes “Lovely” Reynoso-Pontioso, Lucena Mayor Mark Don Alcala, Vice Mayor Roderick Alcala, and Candelaria Mayor George Suayan.
During her visits, Binay met with local government employees and residents, sharing her legislative goals and vision for sustainable, inclusive progress.
She also invited people from the CALABARZON region to attend the Alyansa Para Sa Bagong Pilipinas Proclamation Rally on March 21 at the Capitol Grounds in Trece Martires City, Cavite. The rally is set to begin at 4 p.m.
