The Philippines has secured a third slot in the 2025 AVC Women's Champions League, with PLDT joining the country’s delegation in the prestigious tournament.
The Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) officially awarded the additional berth, allowing the High Speed Hitters to compete alongside Creamline and Petro Gazz. The highly anticipated competition is set to take place from 20 to 27 April 2025 at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City.
PLDT earned the slot after an impressive campaign in the PVL All-Filipino Conference, where they advanced to the quarterfinals and finished in fourth place. Their inclusion strengthens the country’s presence in the continental tournament, which will feature top teams from across Asia.
Apart from the three Filipino squads, Thailand’s Nakhon Ratchasima QminC and Vietnam’s VTV Bình Điền Long An have also confirmed their participation.
Meanwhile, the official drawing of lots to determine match schedules and groupings will take place on Wednesday, adding to the excitement as teams prepare for the prestigious tournament.
With the Philippines fielding a formidable trio, local volleyball fans eagerly await how the country’s representatives will fare against Asia’s best.
