Authorities seized approximately 90.5 kilograms of suspected marijuana with an estimated street value of P10.8 million and arrested four suspects in a buy-bust operation Tuesday morning.
The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) said the operation, conducted by the Caloocan City Police Station’s Station Drug Enforcement Unit, in collaboration with Sub-Stations 14 and 15, took place in Barangay 185, Caloocan City. Officers arrested one woman and three men.
Police confiscated 72 bricks of dried marijuana leaves weighing 72 kilograms, 40 elongated plastic containers with 15 grams of marijuana leaves each, and 12 vacuum-sealed sachets containing dried marijuana leaves and fruiting tops weighing 3.5 kilograms.
In addition to the drugs, police seized marked money, three black boxes, two large transparent plastic containers, and a weighing scale. The suspects face charges of violating Sections 5, 11, and 26, Article II of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
