Edward marks 100th MPL PH win over Twisted Minds; ONIC ruins Yawi's return

Fan-favorite Aurora gave Saudi Arabi-based organization Twisted Minds a rough welcome to MPL PH on Week 1 Day 1 of Season 15 this Friday at Green Sun in Makati.

Composed of its M6 world championship roster of Demonkite, Renejay, Yue, Domeng, and Edward, Aurora displayed its superiority over Twisted Minds, which mostly fielded ex-Blacklist International players Hadjizy, MP The King, Sensui, Jeymz, and Outplayed.

The win also marked a new milestone for Aurora's experience laner Edward, who recorded his 100th win at MPL PH.

"I am happy to reach such a milestone. It is like I am now old in the scene," said Edward after the match.

Defending MPL PH champion and M6 world champion ONIC PH, meanwhile, received a tougher-than-expected matchup against a revamped TNC Pro Team composed of the returning Yawi, Kouze, Lord JM, LanceCy, and Zaida.

After going toe-to-toe in the opening game, TNC Pro Team looked better than ever when it scored an early 7-0 lead over Kelra, K1ngkong, Brusko, Kirk, and Super Frince. Never the type to succumb to pressure, ONIC PH mounted a comeback and won the last lord fight en route to winning the series.

"Our comms was just to be ultra calm," said Kelra when asked how the team dealt with the early lead in Game 2.
