Filipino billiard players Jeffrey de Luna and Roberto Gomez set up an all-Filipino clash in the Las Vegas Open quarterfinals after beating their respective opponents Sunday at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

De Luna defeated Gerson Martinez Boza of Peru, 3-2, in the Last 32 before taking down Radoslaw Babica of Poland, 3-0, in the Last 16.

For Gomez, he had to beat home bet Laz Martinez, 3-1, in the Last 32 and Dmitris Loukatos of Greece, 3-1, in the Last 16.

Both cue artists are already assured of $4,375 (P250,000) for making it to the quarterfinal.

Whoever prevails will not just get through the semifinal but will also be guaranteed $8,750 (P505,000).

De Luna and Gomez will clash on Wednesday at 9 a.m. (Manila time) to determine who will be the last Filipino standing in the Las Vegas Open.

Mark Estiola and Francisco “Django” Bustamante were eliminated in the loser’s qualification round last Sunday.

Estiola bowed to Martinez Boza, 0-2, while Bustamante fell to Mateusz Sniegocki of Poland.
