Outgoing Department of Transportation (DoTr) Secretary Jaime J. Bautista on Friday visited the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) Central Office in Pasay City, where the CAAP honored his leadership and services.

The agency took the opportunity to convey its sincere gratitude to Bautista for his steadfast commitment to developing the nation's aviation industry.

CAAP director general Captain Manuel Antonio Tamayo lauded Bautista's “creative” leadership, underscoring his contribution to modernization efforts, aviation safety and operational effectiveness.

Contributions

Tamayo said Bautista “has made important contributions to Philippine aviation, and the agency is acknowledging his strong cooperation with CAAP in reaching important industry milestones.”

The CAAP headquarters served as Bautista’s temporary office for a year before moving to the DoTr complex in San Juan City.

His active involvement with CAAP since 2022 and his hands-on style have been crucial in advancing innovative initiatives and advancements that continue to influence the aviation industry.

In anticipation of Secretary Vince Dizon's leadership, CAAP reiterates its dedication to continuing Bautista's legacy by encouraging industry innovation and steady growth.

"The foundation we have laid together will assure a prosperous future for Philippine aviation travel. CAAP remains committed to providing world-class aviation services and infrastructure," Tamayo stated.
