The Office for Transportation Security (OTS) announced Thursday that 342 contracted Aviation Security Screeners and Supervisors from New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC) have been formally awarded Certificates of Competency by the agency.

This certification, in compliance with national and international civil aviation security requirements, reaffirms the agency’s dedication to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and security among stakeholders.

According to the OTS, these recently certified employees comprise 129 access control screeners, 195 non-passenger screeners and 18 non-passenger supervisors. Their certification guarantees they possess the skills required to perform their specific aviation security duties.

The agency said the OTS and NNIC collaboration exemplifies a concerted effort to enhance airport security and public service delivery. By certifying these screeners and supervisors, the OTS and NNIC reiterate their commitment to providing a safe environment for all airport travelers arriving in Manila.

OTS Administrator Undersecretary Crizaldo O. Nieves commended the certified aviation security personnel, stating that their achievement greatly boosts overall security at Manila’s airports.

“The successful certification of these 342 aviation security personnel signifies their capability to adhere to international and national security standards, creating a more secure environment for all passengers in Manila,” Nieves said.
