The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) donated 50 desktop computers and 30 printers to schools in Anao, Tarlac, as part of its ongoing support for education and community welfare. The turnover ceremony took place on 28 January 2025, with the donated equipment aimed at improving access to technology for students and teachers.
The recipient schools included Bantog Elementary School, Casili Elementary School, Dagundon Elementary School, Dolores Ongsiako Central Elementary School, San Francisco Elementary School, San Jose Elementary School, Anao High School, Anao Junior High School, and others.
PCSO directors Jennifer Liongson-Guevara and Janet de Leon-Mercado led the event, reaffirming the agency’s commitment to enhancing educational opportunities and technological access in public schools.
Anao Mayor Gian Pierre De Dios expressed gratitude for the donation, emphasizing that the new resources will help students adapt to modern learning methods. He urged students to maximize these tools and work hard to achieve academic success.
Additionally, PCSO distributed 300 hygiene kits to single parents in the municipality under its Gender and Development (GAD) program, promoting health and gender equality.
