You know what they say, birds of a feather flock together, as the Marvel Studios team-up with My Hero Academia on a collaboration no one expected to happen.
With the release of Captain America: Brave New World looming this month, the official Marvel Studios Japan X (formerly Twitter) account released a promotional video for the film featuring the new Cap Sam Wilson and My Hero Academia’s winged savior, Hawks. The visual's taglines read, "Determination makes heroes stronger" in the center, "Fly with conviction" on the left and "Inherit the symbol and fly" on the right.
Both characters are important heroes in their respective universes, with both aiming to prove that a hero must do whatever they can to save everyone with determination and grit, making the crossover an extremely clever hero mash-up.
The purpose of the collab is to celebrate the release of Captain America: Brave New World on 14 February in the United States and the eight and final season of My Hero Academia. which is expected to come out in the fall of 2025.
