On 5 February 2025, photos of Taecyeon and his girlfriend circulated on social media, sparking speculation that the 2PM member had proposed.
The images showed Taecyeon kneeling and presenting a ring to his non-celebrity girlfriend in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, leading fans to speculate it was a proposal moment.
The now-deleted photos, taken last year, were originally uploaded by a photographer on their social media account before being widely shared online.
In response to the growing rumors, 51K, Taecyeon’s agency, released a statement clarifying, “Those photos were not taken as part of a marriage proposal.” The agency explained, “The photos, which were taken last year to celebrate his girlfriend’s birthday, were unfortunately leaked and spread across online communities.”
They further stated that while Taecyeon is happily in a relationship, he currently has no immediate plans for marriage.
Taecyeon publicly acknowledged his relationship with his non-celebrity girlfriend in 2020.
