The Manila Electric Company (Meralco) participated in the 2025 mock elections organized by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to ensure stable electricity service for the upcoming 12 May midterm polls. Meralco crews simulated quick response measures for possible power disruptions, including downed power lines and fire-related outages, at Makati High School.
For the May elections, Meralco will deploy generator sets and floodlights in key areas, with personnel on standby 24/7 to ensure uninterrupted service. The company has been coordinating with Comelec since November 2024, recognizing the crucial role of electricity in the electoral process.
