The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), in collaboration with the Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE) and other government agencies, is set to provide job opportunities to 12,000 graduating members of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) during the rollout of the Trabaho sa Bagong Pilipinas job fair on Friday.
The one-stop-shop job fair will take place at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Upon registration, 4Ps beneficiaries from the National Capital Region (NCR) will undergo an orientation on the services offered by participating government agencies.
After the orientation, each 4Ps member will receive P3,000 in financial assistance to cover pre-employment requirements, including medical examinations and transportation expenses.
The Trabaho sa Bagong Pilipinas job fair will feature booths from various government agencies, including the Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Labor and Employment, Department of Agriculture, Department of Trade and Industry, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, Philippine Statistics Authority, National Bureau of Investigation, Philippine National Police, Social Security System, Bureau of Internal Revenue, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG Fund, and the Office of the President.
DoLE will oversee coordination with business establishments that are hiring new employees, while TESDA will provide upskilling training for Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program beneficiaries to equip them with the necessary skills for employment.
DSWD’s Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) will set up a Sulong Trabaho SLP Employment Assistance Booth, where 4Ps beneficiaries will receive guidance on the program’s Employment Track.
“As part of the job fair, an assessment will be conducted for 4Ps beneficiaries who secure employment. They will fill out forms, and once their assessment is approved, their application will be processed at the NCR Regional Office,” said SLP Assistant Secretary Florentino Loyola Jr.
Loyola added that eligible 4Ps beneficiaries will be notified by the NCR Field Office regarding the schedule for the release of their Employment Assistance Fund (EAF).
“All qualified beneficiaries will receive a slip from the SLP booth, which they must present at the regional office during the payout,” Loyola explained.
