Alfred Joseph Flores dropped a double-double and starred in newcomer Immaculada Concepcion College-Caloocan’s stunner over Lyceum of the Philippines University-Batangas, 81-71, in the UCAL-PG Flex Linoleum 7th Season opener Thursday at the Paco Arena in Manila.

The crafty 5-foor-8 guard produced 31 points and 11 boards while dishing out five assists for the Blue Hawks.

ICC-Caloocan took control of the game, which was tight in the opening half with a strong third quarter punch.

The Blue Hawks opened a significant separation midway through the third canto before hanging tough in the payoff period of the tournament backed by Akari, CafeFrance, Advance Solutions Inc., Smart Sports, Spalding, Team Rebel Sports, Quintana Sports, Crane Faucet, Hapee Toothpaste, Jiang Nan Restaurant, Vital, TopFlite Academy, Maruyama and Gerry’s Grill.

Flores was ably aided by Jared Loi Vento and Edrian Mark Ramirez who chipped in 15 and 13 points, respectively, apart from combining for 14 boards.

Alpha Bah led the Pirates with 14 points and seven boards.
