Sustainable ‘Smartboard Ultra’ launched

SCG, a leading construction materials company in Southeast Asia, has launched Smartboard Ultra in the Philippines, an innovative construction board manufactured in Thailand.

The Smartboard Ultra features Firm & Flex™ technology, providing both durability and flexibility for easier handling and installation. Enhanced with anti-mold technology, it is designed to withstand the humid tropical climate of the Philippines.

The Smartboard Ultra is manufactured with low-carbon processes and is asbestos-free, minimizing its environmental impact. It also holds an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) from EPD International, verifying its environmental footprint throughout its lifecycle. EPDs are crucial for LEED certification and support sustainable building practices.

"Incorporating eco-friendly practices into the design and construction of buildings in the Philippines is essential for addressing the nation's environmental challenges," the company said in a statement.
