President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ordered the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) to review and reprogram the budget of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).
In a press briefing on Tuesday, DILG Secretary Juanito Victor “Jonvic” Remulla shared that his agency received a different budget compared to the submitted budget of his predecessor former Secretary Benhur Abalos in the National Expenditure Program (NEP).
“What was given in the NEP and the final outcome in the GAA have many variances,” he said.
Remulla listed down the budget cut for the Philippine National Police’s IT program and the Establishment of Safe Camp security system.
