Popular mobile MOBA Mobile Legends: Bang Bang suspended its operations in the United States earlier today, alongside the video-sharing app TikTok.
Moonton Games, the developer of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, operates under Nuverse, a subsidiary of TikTok owner ByteDance.
"Due to circumstances beyond our control, access to Mobile Legends: Bang Bang in the US will unfortunately be temporarily suspended starting January 19, 2025," the game’s developers announced on Reddit.
"Although we are unable to provide service in the US, we encourage you to stay updated by following our official community channels for the latest news," the statement continued.
"We deeply value our vibrant player community and are actively exploring possibilities to bring the game back in the future. Services in other regions will remain available as usual."
Meanwhile, TikTok, a highly popular social media platform worldwide, cut off its services in the US after the Supreme Court upheld a law banning the platform.
In a statement released by TikTok, the platform expressed optimism about returning to the US market, stating it remains hopeful as President-elect Donald Trump prepares to assume office.
