The Information Technology and Business Process Management Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) had a banner year in 2024, generating $38 billion in revenue and providing 1.82 million jobs.

In a statement on Thursday, Jack Madrid, president and CEO of IBPAP, said these figures reaffirm the industry’s position as a key driver of growth.

“This year’s milestones underscore the incredible dedication and innovation within our industry. These achievements are a testament to our collective efforts. As we step into 2025, we are poised to seize new opportunities and strengthen the Philippines’ position as a global IT-BPM leader,” Madrid said.

As 2024 came to a close, IBPAP reinforced its collaboration with government partners. During discussions with Trade and Industry Secretary Cristina Roque, the organization explored strategies to address key challenges and opportunities that will drive growth and innovation in the sector.

Stakeholders as partners

Madrid highlighted that IBPAP launched initiatives with industry partners to prepare the future Digital Filipino Workforce with essential skills.

IBPAP also signed a memorandum of agreement with the Department of Education, reaffirming its commitment to a brighter future for Filipino youth by bridging education and career opportunities in the digital economy.

“This collaboration aims to empower Filipino students through two transformative programs,” he said.

Other initiatives spearheaded by IBPAP include the IT-BPM PC Donation Program, which provides IT equipment to public schools to support digital learning; the Enhanced Senior High School Work Immersion Program, which prepares SHS graduates for the workforce through extended immersion hours, essential skills training, and job-matching opportunities; and the donation of PCs in partnership with Concentrix and the Quezon City local government unit, equipping students with tools and resources for enhanced learning and future readiness.
