The Philippine National Police (PNP) reshuffled seven ranking officials to different key positions following the mandatory retirement of two police officers.

In a press conference at Camp Crame on Monday, PNP spokesperson PBGen. Jean Fajardo said Area Police Command Visayas chief Maj. Gen. Robert Rodriguez will take over the PNP's third-highest post as Acting Deputy Chief for Operations.

Fajardo said Rodriguez replaced PLtGen. Michael John Dubria, who reached the mandatory retirement age of 56 on 20 December 2024.

As of 4 January 2025, Brigadier Generals Jericho Baldeo, Christopher Abrahano, and Christopher Abecia were named officers-in-charge of the Directorate for Information and Communications Technology Management, Police Regional Office (PRO) - Caraga, and Aviation Security Group, respectively.

PNP Headquarters Support Service (HSS) director PBGen. Radel Ramos has also retired from the service. He will be replaced by PBGen. Ramil Montilla from the Directorate for Police Community Relations (DPCR) as officer-in-charge.

Meanwhile, Brigadier Generals Roy Parena and Dionisio Bartolome Jr. and Col. Mariano Rodriguez were designated as Acting Deputy Director for Police Community Relations, Deputy Director for Administration of PRO-Central Visayas, and Deputy Director for Administration of PRO-Davao, respectively.

In his speech during the flag-raising ceremony on Monday, PNP chief Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil urged newly promoted police officers to remain steadfast in their sworn duty to act fairly and uphold their dignity as law enforcers.

“Our dignity as police officers is one of our most valuable assets. Let us not allow anyone to take it from us, for no one has the right to do so. We must protect our integrity and never allow it to be compromised by temptation or undue influence. Our dignity forms the very foundation of the trust the public places in us,” Marbil said.
