Several bus companies operating at the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) have announced significant delays in their schedules due to severe traffic congestion affecting routes to and from Bicol and other provinces.
Amihan Bus Lines reported that their 9:30 a.m. trip to Bulan recently was rescheduled to 4 p.m., while the 10 a.m. trip to Naga was moved to 4:30 p.m.
Similarly, ALPS Bus Company advised passengers to anticipate delays, especially for trips bound for Bicol. The company cited difficulties in turnaround times as buses remain stuck in heavy traffic.
Reports of gridlocked roads leading to and from Bicol have circulated on social media, showing long queues of vehicles barely moving.
The PITX on Christmas Eve recorded 112,894 passengers at the terminal, many of whom were still waiting for their trips to resume.
