The Japan Information and Culture Center (JICC) of the Embassy of Japan in the Philippines is pleased to accept applications for the Japanese Studies and Teacher Training categories of the 2025 Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho) scholarship.
Applicants must be a Filipino citizen. Additional qualifications are as follows.
Japanese Studies — Under 30 years old by 2 April 2025; Currently enrolled at the undergraduate level and majoring in fields related to Japanese language and/or Japanese culture; Must have majored in a field related to Japanese language/culture for a total period of at least one year as of 1 September 2025.
Teacher Training — Under 35 years old by 2 April 2025; At least 5 years of teaching experience in elementary or secondary educational institutions as of 1 October 2025; Currently employed as a teacher in an elementary or secondary school.
