BAGUIO CITY — The local government of Baguio City is reminding its citizens and especially visitors to observe City Ordinances on traffic rules and regulations during the holidays to avoid problems.

The Baguio City Public Information Office (PIO) under the City Mayor’s Office refreshed the people on the existence of Ordinance 001-2003, or The Number Coding Ordinance, which allows suspension of the number coding scheme only by Executive Order in times of calamities, emergencies, and important city-sponsored or co-sponsored activities.

It applies from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. covering major roads of the city’s central business district (CBD). Tourists are exempt from the Number Coding Ordinance, which has the following schedule — plate numbers ending in 1-2 are not allowed on Mondays, 3-4 on Tuesdays, 5-6 on Wednesdays, 7-8 on Thursdays, and 9-0 on Fridays.
