Aboitiz Construction has been awarded the Site Development Package for Taiheiyo Cement’s upcoming cement plant in Calaca, Batangas. The project, managed by Shimizu Philippine Contractors Inc., is poised to bolster the region's infrastructure development and provide economic opportunities for local communities.
The project encompasses critical site preparation tasks, including earthworks, backfilling, and retaining wall construction, essential for establishing the foundation of the new cement production facility. Aboitiz Construction plans to source a significant portion of the workforce locally, aligning with its commitment to community development and economic growth.
The successful completion of the site development works will enable Taiheiyo Cement to produce high-quality cement to support infrastructure projects throughout the region. This initiative aligns with Aboitiz Construction’s mission to build projects that enable businesses to prosper and communities to thrive.
“This project is an exciting opportunity for Aboitiz Construction to play an integral role in the development of essential infrastructure materials. By ensuring the availability of quality cement for future projects, we are contributing to a better future for the Philippines,” said Levi Agoncillo, vice president for Business Development Construction at Aboitiz Construction.
