The spirit of Christmas shines brightly in Intramuros, Manila, as the Manila Electric Company (Meralco) and the Intramuros Administration launch the Meralco Liwanag Park at Plaza Roma.

Designed to spread holiday cheer and showcase sustainability, the park is anticipated to draw thousands of visitors to the historic walled city.

This year’s Liwanag Park in Intramuros is a testament to creativity and environmental responsibility centerpiece with a 20-foot Christmas tree made from recycled meter covers and steel crossarms illuminated by energy-saving LED bulbs.

Another highlight is a replica of the iconic tranvia, symbolizing the connection between Meralco’s legacy and the historic charm of Intramuros.

The display also includes colorful lanterns, photo-worthy installations, and festive music, creating a magical ambiance for families and friends to enjoy.

Apart from the stunning decorations, the park will also host evening performances by local choirs, cultural groups, and musicians, adding to the holiday festivities. Visitors can also enjoy pop-up stalls offering holiday treats, crafts, and souvenirs.

Meralco Liwanag Park in Intramuros will remain open to the public daily from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM until January 6, 2025, providing a memorable and eco-friendly way to celebrate the season.
