Manila and Pampanga – Former Ilocos Sur Governor and senatorial aspirant Luis "Manong Chavit" Singson reached out to the public through events emphasizing grassroots connection and community support.
At the Manila Hotel, Singson attended PHILRECA’s event, participating in their Christmas-themed festivities and commending the organization’s contributions. He also engaged with media representatives to discuss his track record and platform as a senatorial candidate.
Later, Singson met with municipal leaders at the Diamond Hotel, reaffirming his role as President Emeritus of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP). He offered advice and encouragement, with LMP President JP Bernos expressing strong support: “Manong Chavit is a very generous and respected member of our council. We will support his bid as senator until he wins.”
In the evening, Singson joined the Circulation Management Association of the Philippines (CMAP) Christmas Party, where he donated P500,000, spreading holiday goodwill.
The following day, 12 December, Singson traveled to Candaba, Pampanga, for a TUPAD payout event organized with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE). Hundreds of Candabeños gathered at the Municipal Action Center to receive financial aid through the cash-for-work program.
Singson highlighted his advocacy for digital banking through VBank, sustainable transportation with electric vehicles, and financial support for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through his Chavit 500 program.
“Ang serbisyong tulad ng TUPAD ay bahagi ng ating pangarap na magdala ng progreso at ginhawa sa bawat Pilipino,” Singson said, concluding the event with a message of hope and commitment to national progress.
