A 61-year-old Chinese national died after collapsing and hitting his head on the concrete ground of the South entrance of an LRT station on Tuesday night at Evangelista Street corner Recto Avenue, Quiapo, Manila.

The victim, identified by police as Xu Yucan of Binondo Terrace, Alvarado Street, Binondo, Manila died instantly.

According to an investigation by PSSg Charles Benson Dela Torre of the Manila Police District (MPD)-Homicide Section, the incident occurred at 6:30 p.m. at the train station.

A witness — identified as Abegail Santos said that she was standing at the LRT entrance when she saw the victim lose consciousness and fall, hitting his head on the concrete floor.

Santos immediately attempted to help the victim but realized he was no longer breathing. She then sought help from Barangay Kagawad Manuel Rosales, who called the MPD-Homicide Section.

The body was brought to the Body and Light Funeral Home for autopsy.
