Bob Bryar, the long-time drummer of My Chemical Romance (MCR), was found dead at his home in Tennessee, as reported by TMZ.
Law enforcement sources confirmed no signs of foul play, while a medical examiner investigates the manner of his death. His decomposing body was discovered by Animal Control officers who visited his residence to retrieve two dogs.
Bryar, last seen alive on 4 November, was MCR’s longest-tenured drummer, contributing to the band’s iconic 2006 album The Black Parade before his departure in 2010.
Four years later, he left the music industry entirely, transitioning to a career in real estate.
The drummer had been open about his personal struggles on social media, including experiences with death threats and suicidal tendencies.
MCR is scheduled to perform a series of stadium shows in the U.S. and Canada in 2025, for “The Black Parade” tour.
