As the holiday season arrives, Filinvest City in Alabang emerges as the ultimate destination for family-friendly fun and festive cheer. On Thursday, 28 November 2024, the city unveiled its newest landmark—The Tree Events Stage—during its annual tree lighting ceremony at Central Park, marking the beginning of a month-long celebration filled with lights, music, and the spirit of togetherness.
The event kicked off with a heartfelt welcome from Muntinlupa Mayor Ruffy Biazon, who addressed the enthusiastic crowd, setting the tone for the evening. The ceremony was attended by the Gotianun family, prominent Filinvest City locators, and other special guests. But the real magic began with the simultaneous unveiling of The Tree Events Stage and the lighting of the majestic 42-foot Christmas tree, adorned with life-sized Christmas balls and regal reindeers.
As the night sky burst into color with a dazzling fireworks display, attendees were serenaded by none other than the Philippines' crooner, Richard Poon, who delivered soulful renditions of Christmas classics, adding a warm and festive touch to the occasion.
A new icon in Central Park
At the center of this year’s holiday festivities stands The Tree Events Stage, a stunning architectural marvel that serves as a new gathering space for the community. Inspired by nature, the stage’s design echoes the graceful curves of tree branches, with curvilinear columns wrapped in tensile fabric that create an inviting and modern aesthetic.
But The Tree is more than just a stage—it's a symbol of unity, connection, and the spirit of community. As Filinvest City continues its commitment to sustainability, the stage harmonizes seamlessly with the lush surroundings of Central Park. It features a dynamic lighting system that transforms the venue into a vibrant canvas for artistic light projections, adding to the visual spectacle, especially at night.
This new iconic space solidifies Filinvest City’s position as a premier location for live concerts, cultural events, and community gatherings throughout the year.
This year’s holiday theme, “Cherish Every Moment of Christmas,” perfectly captures the essence of the season, especially for families and those looking to create lasting memories. Every Friday from 29 November to 20 December, The Tree Stage will host a variety of live performances featuring some of OPM’s top artists. The excitement kicks off with Over October, a pop/alternative rock band, on 29 November, followed by singer-songwriter Blaster on 13 December, and Munimuni, known for their soulful makata-pop sound, on 20 December. Each Friday performance will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display at 8 PM.
In addition to the Friday performances, local musical acts will light up the stage every Saturday from 30 November to 21 December, followed by a special Meet and Greet with Santa Claus every Sunday from 1 to 22 December, allowing children and families to experience the magic of the season up close.
For those who enjoy exploring, bike rentals are available, and guests can indulge in a variety of delectable food options at Eats by the Park, open every Friday to Sunday starting at 4 PM.
