The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) has conducted 75 community engagement activities from 22 to 28 November 2024, reaching 3,945 beneficiaries.
QCPD acting director P/Col. Melecio Buslig Jr. said the activities were spearheaded by the District Community Affairs and Development Division (DCADD), in coordination with the District Mobile Force Battalion, Police Stations 1-16, and various stakeholders.
During these engagements, DCADD personnel conducted lectures on community anti-terrorism awareness, anti-illegal drug awareness, crime prevention safety tips, the Safe Spaces Act, bomb awareness, the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004, Human Rights, Gender Sensitivity/Equality and the Anti-Bullying Act of 2013.
Participants were also introduced to the eGovPH app for crime reporting through the Philippine National Police’s Law Enforcement Reporting Information System.
Additionally, the QCPD provided livelihood programs, free haircuts, food packs, and educational materials.
