MMDA issues Bonifacio Day guidelines

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) will implement a traffic management and deployment plan on 30 November 2024, to facilitate the commemoration of the 161st birth anniversary of Gat Andres Bonifacio at the Bonifacio Monument Circle (BMC) in Caloocan City.
In a statement, the MMDA said that from 5 a.m. to 12 noon, MacArthur Highway from Calle Cuatro to Monumento; Samson Road from Lapu-Lapu Street to Monumento; Rizal Avenue from 10th Avenue to Monumento and EDSA Northbound from Gen. Rosendo Simon to Monumento will be closed to motorists.
The MMDA, in coordination with Caloocan City authorities, will deploy traffic enforcers and emergency response teams to manage traffic flow and ensure the smooth conduct of the event.
Motorists and truckers are advised to take alternate routes — MacArthur to Manila: MacArthur Highway — Reparo Road — Kasoy Road — Mango Road — Araneta Avenue — Heroes del 96 — 10th Avenue; Rizal Avenue to EDSA: Rizal Avenue — 10th Avenue — 5th Street — EDSA; Rizal Avenue to MacArthur Highway: Rizal Avenue — 10th Avenue — Heroes del 96 — Samson Road — Caimito Road — MacArthur Highway; Rizal Avenue to Sangandaan: Rizal Avenue — 10th Avenue — A. Mabini Street and EDSA to MacArthur Highway: EDSA — Gen. Rosendo Simon Street — Calle Uno/Calle Cuatro — MacArthur Highway.
