NO TO TARIFF CUTS
LOOK: Agriculture groups SINAG and the Federation of Free Farmers refuted claims that the reduction in rice tariffs had resulted in significant price decreases. During a press conference in Quezon City on Friday, 6 September 2024, they stated that the price of rice in August 2024 was even higher than in January 2024, when the tariff on imports was still at 35%.
